CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1108 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5-6.05, ARTICLE 2, <br /> CHAPTER 6 (DECREASE IN STATE SPEED LIMIT IN CERTAIN <br /> ZONES), TITLE V (VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, STREETS AND <br /> HIGHWAYS) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASA~TON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Article 2 (Decrease in State Speed Limits in Certain <br /> Zones) of Chapter 6 (Speed Zones) of Title V (Vehicles <br /> and Traffic, Streets and Highways) of the Ordinance <br /> Code of the City of Pleasanton is amended to add the <br /> following: <br /> <br /> "v-4 Vineyard Avenue. On Vineyard Avenue from Bernal <br /> Avenue (Pico) to the Citv limits the speed limit <br /> shall be 40 miles per hour." <br /> <br />Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a <br /> newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) <br /> days after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on November 8, 1983. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on November 22, 1983 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood and <br /> Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None [~~~ <br />ATTEST: ~[~.'BUTLE ~ .MAYOR <br /> ROBER ~,. . <br /> <br />By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br />Pefef D7 MacDonald', 'Cify Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />
