Attachment 2 RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, 2010 TO SUBMIT TO THE VOTERS THE REFERENDUM PETITION FOR ORDINANCE NO. 1961 REGARDING THE OAK GROVE DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, under the laws relating to general law cities in California a General Municipal Election shall be held on to submit to the voters the Referendum Petition for Ordinance No. 1961 regarding the Oak Grove Development; and WHEREAS, California Elections Code §9282 specifies that the legislative body, or any member or members of the legislative body authorized by that body, may file a written argument for or against any City measure; and WHEREAS, California Elections Code §9285 sets forth the procedures for rebuttal arguments; and WHEREAS, California Elections Code §9280 specifies that the City Council may direct the City Clerk to transmit a copy of the measure to the City Attorney to prepare an impartial analysis thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That pursuant to the laws of the State of California relating to general law cities does submit to the voters at the General Municipal Election on 2010 the following question: YES insert selected ballot measure text] NO Section 2. That the complete text of the measure submitted to the voters is as set forth in the attached Exhibit A. Section 3. The City Clerk is directed to transmit the measure to the City Attorney to prepare an impartial analysis of the measure by 2010. Section 4. Except as provided otherwise in this resolution, adopts the procedures set forth in California Elections Code §9285 regarding submission of rebuttal arguments. Section 5.
