MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> December 14, 2009 <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the special meeting to order at the hour of 6:00 p.m. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> 3. PUBLIC COMMENT: None <br /> Mayor Hosterman introduced Mr. Lowell and highlighted his biography. <br /> 4. APPROVE AN EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT WITH JONATHAN LOWELL AND <br /> APPOINTMENT OF MR. LOWELL AS CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Motion: It was m/s by Cook Kallio/Thorne to approve the employment with Jonathan <br /> Lowell and the appointment of Mr. Lowell as City Attorney. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> City Clerk Karen Diaz administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Lowell. <br /> Mr. Lowell thanked the Council for the appointment and introduced his family. <br /> 5.
