ORDINANCE NO. 2000 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> AMENDNG VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY REPLACING <br /> REFERENCES TO THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR, PLANNING DIRECTOR, <br /> PLANNING DEPARTMENT, BUILDING DEPARTMENT, DIRECTOR OF BUILDING <br /> INSPECTION, AND DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING IN ORDER TO COINCIDE WITH <br /> ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGES <br /> WHEREAS, the following sections of the code require amendment in order to coincide <br /> with recent changes in the organization; <br /> A) In chapters 3, 9, 17, 18, 19, and 20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all <br /> references to "planning director", "director of planning" or "director of planning and <br /> community development" with "community development director". <br /> B) In chapters 18 and 20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to <br /> "director of building inspection" with "chief building official <br /> C) In chapters 9, 13, 17, and 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all <br /> references to "planning department" with "planning division" with the following <br /> exceptions: <br /> 1) In section 9.04.074(C), delete the following language "The city planning <br /> department, in conjunction with the building department," and replace it with "The <br /> community development department <br /> 2) In section 13.16.050(E), delete "the planning department" and replace it with "the <br /> community development department <br /> D) In chapters 3, 9, and 18 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to <br /> "building department" with "building division" with the following exceptions: <br /> 1) 1) In section 9.04.074(C), delete the following language "The city planning <br /> department, in conjunction with the building department," and replace it with "The <br /> community development department". <br /> E) In section 18.106.020(B) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, delete the reference to <br /> "planning and community development department" and replace it with "planning <br /> division <br /> F) In chapter 3, 6, and 17 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to <br /> "public works director" or "director of public works" with "community development <br /> director <br /> G) In chapter 9, 14, and 15 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to <br /> "public works director" or "director of public works" with "operations services director" <br /> with the following exceptions: <br /> 1) In section 9.20.030, replace all references to "director of public works" with <br /> "community development director". <br />
