THE CITY OF 6 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT v <br /> pLEASANTONo <br /> January 19, 2010 <br /> Community Development <br /> Planning Division <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENTS WITH <br /> LUCYCO COMMUNICATIONS FOR FACILITATION SERVICES, AND <br /> WITH AECOM (EDAW) FOR DESIGN AND URBAN PLANNING <br /> CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE HACIENDA BUSINESS PARK <br /> PUD MODIFICATION PROJECT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Staff is requesting approval of two professional services agreements for services related <br /> to the Hacienda Business Park PUD Modification Project. The first is for facilitation <br /> services to assist in managing the Task Force meetings. This contract is with LucyCo <br /> Communications, for a total of $32,515. The second contract is with AECOM (formerly <br /> EDAW), for design and planning services, including assistance in visualizing potential <br /> new development. This contract is for a total of $60,000. Most of the cost of these <br /> contracts (up to $84,416) will be covered through a reimbursement agreement with the <br /> Hacienda Business Park Owners Association. The balance of the costs ($8,099) will be <br /> covered by funds received from the Alameda County Transportation Improvement <br /> Authority (ACTIA) related to a station area planning grant received by the City. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to sign the attached <br /> Professional Services Agreements: <br /> 1. With LucyCo Communications for facilitation services at Task Force meetings <br /> for the estimated cost of $29,515, and a contract total including contingency <br /> of $32,515. <br /> 2. With AECOM (formerly EDAW) for design and planning services for an <br /> estimated cost of $60,000. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The combined total cost of the contracts described above is $92,515. Of this cost, up to <br /> $84,416 will be covered by the Hacienda Business Park Owners Association (HBPOA) <br /> under a reimbursement agreement with the City. The remaining $8,099 will be covered <br /> by funds already received from the Alameda County Transportation Improvement <br /> Authority (ACTIA). These funds were received through a station area planning grant. <br />
