H) In chapter 13 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "public <br /> works director" or "director of public works" with "city engineer <br /> I) In sections 18.36.070, 18.40.060, 18.44.100, 18.48.210, 18.56.070, 18.84.040, and <br /> 18.110.120 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, replace all references to "public works <br /> director" or "director of public works" with "city engineer'. <br /> J) In sections 18.88.040, 18.92.040, 18.120.050, and 18.124.110, replace all <br /> references to "public works director" or "director of public works" with "community <br /> development director <br /> K) In section 18.110.020(A)(2)(C) delete "director of public works and utilities" and <br /> replace with "community services director and operations services director <br /> L) In section 18.08.010(B) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, delete subsection 5 in its <br /> entirety (i.e., the reference to the director of public works). Add the following to the <br /> list of City Officials in alphabetical order: <br /> 1) "City engineer" means the city engineer of the city of Pleasanton. <br /> 2) "Community development director" means the community development director <br /> of the city of Pleasanton, or his or her designee. <br /> 3) "Operations services director" means the operations services director for of the <br /> city of Pleasanton, or his or her designee. <br /> M) In section 18.68.080 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, delete "director of <br /> engineering" and replace with "city engineer <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br /> HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the proposed amendments to the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code represent the organizational structure of the City. <br /> SECTION 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br /> days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in <br /> the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the <br /> City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on December 1, 2009 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook- Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Mayor Hosterman <br /> Jennifer Hosterman, Mayor <br />
