PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC- 2006 -64 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF REGENCY <br />CENTERS/HOME DEPOT FOR A MAJOR MODIFICATION TO A PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD- 81 -25 -7M <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />Section 1. <br />Regency Centers/Home Depot has applied for PUD major modification to allow <br />the construction of 193,481 square feet of commercial area, including a Home <br />Depot building supply store and garden center, a Long's Drug's pharmacy with <br />drive through, and miscellaneous neighborhood retail stores including one <br />drive through, on an approximately I 6-acre parcel located at the Valley <br />Avenue /Bernal Avenue /Stanley Boulevard intersection, in the Stanley Business <br />Park; and <br />zoning for the property is PUD -C (Planned Unit Development Commercial) <br />District; and <br />at its duly noticed public hearing of December 13, 2006, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br />the Planning Commission recommended approval for the Negative Declaration <br />prepared for this project; and <br />the Planning Commission determined that the proposed modification would be <br />consistent with other recently approved projects in the area and the appearance of <br />the existing buildings and would not alter the natural topographical features of the <br />area; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Recommends approval of Case PUD- 81- 25 -7M, the application of Regency <br />Centers /Home Depot for PUD major modification to allow the construction of <br />193,481 square feet of commercial area, including a Home Depot building supply <br />store and garden center, a Long's Drug's pharmacy with drive through, and <br />miscellaneous neighborhood retail stores including one drive through, on an <br />approximately 16 -acre parcel located at the Valley Avenue /Bernal Avenue/ <br />Stanley Boulevard intersection, in the Stanley Business Park, subject to the <br />conditions shown in Exhibit B, attached hereto and made part of this case by <br />reference. <br />
