CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-139 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A NEGATIVE DECLARATION <br />FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />FOR STATE GRANT FUNDING FOR VAL VISTA <br />COMMUNITY PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of December 17, 2002, the City Council received a proposed <br />negative declaration for the application of the City of Pleasanton for State grant <br />funding for Val Vista Community Park located at 6701 Payne Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received and reviewed the Initial Study dated October 15, 2002 <br /> and received the recommendations of the staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed hearing was held, at which time the public was given the <br /> opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable State and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed project would not have any significant <br /> adverse effects on the environment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that the proposed project will have no potential for <br /> adverse impacts on the site's wildlife; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Approves the Negative Declaration for the application of the City of Pleasanton for <br />State grant funding for Val Vista Community Park located at 6701 Payne Road. <br /> <br />The City Council finds that the proposed project will have a de minimis impact on <br />the site's wildlife. <br /> <br /> <br />
