THE CITY OF <br /> pL£ASANTONV CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> December 1, 2009 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS PERFORMED BY <br /> LAWRENCE BACKHOE SERVICE FOR THE STREETLIGHT <br /> REPLACEMENT 2008 -09 PROJECT <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This project consisted of the replacement of a portion of the streetlights in the Highland <br /> Oaks, Parkside Drive, Mission Hill, and Carriage Gardens neighborhoods. The project <br /> is now complete and ready for formal acceptance of public improvements by the City. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept all public improvements for the Streetlight Replacement 2008 -09 Project. <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion. <br /> 3. Authorize payment of retention in the amount of $14,315.04 to Lawrence <br /> Backhoe Service thirty days after recordation of the Notice of Completion. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> This project replaced existing streetlights. The newly installed streetlights will be <br /> covered under the City's streetlight maintenance contract for the same price as the <br /> previous lights. No new maintenance costs are associated with this project. <br />
