On motion. of Councilman Oxsen,-seconded-by Coth oilmans Mezza-and`ap- <br />proved by all Councilmen present,• the Mayor was authorized -to issue' <br />a Proclamatibndesignating Thursday, July 11, 1946, between the hours <br />of 12:00 noon to 6:00 P.M. as Pleasanton Day at, the Alameda County <br />Fair. <br />Mayor Trimingham stated that he had taken up the matter of the Camp <br />Parks swimming pool with Comdre. Foerster and had been told that the <br />filter equipment had all been removed. He-also pointed out that the <br />Town would have no means of getting water. to the pool. It was agreed <br />to drop the project. <br />Resolution No. 1913 fixing the compensation for special police ser- <br />vice at public dances at $7.50 wad adopted on motion of Councilman <br />Brenner, seconded by Councilman Oxsen and approved by all Councilmen <br />present. <br />Resolution No. 1914 authorizing a request for bids for a new police <br />oar'was adopted on motion of Councilman Brenner, seconded by Council- <br />man. Mezza and approved by all Councilmen present. Specifioations <br />for the car were submitted by Atty. Nilson. <br />Mayor Trimingham reported that he had attended a Chamber of Commerce <br />meeting, and the Chamber did not'eonsider that the Council had <br />given much support-to their sidewalk improvement program. Qounoil- <br />man Oxsen offered to investigate and report on'Main Street side <br />walks and, tree damage at the next regular meeting of the Council. <br />On motion of Councilman Brenner, seconded by Councilman Mezza and <br />approved by all Councilmen present, a dance permit was authorized <br />as requested by the Druids' Circle. The Clerk was directed to <br />collect an additional $2.50 fee as authorized by Resolution No.1913. <br />Acting Fire Chief Geo. West reported a fire hazard in the grass at <br />Harris. Acres and stated that the' owners would need'assis'tance from <br />the Fire Dept. to burn these lots. <br />Resolution No. 1911 authorizing payment of Officers' salaries for <br />the month of June, 1946, in the amount of $1,890.00, was adopted <br />on motion of Councilman Oxsen, seconded by Councilman Mezza and <br />approved by all Councilmen present. <br />There being no further business to come before the Council, the <br />meeting wad adjourned at 11 :00 P.M. to meet again in adjourned <br />session at 8:00 P.M. on July 15, 1946. <br />May <br />Cler <br />
