Mr. Hitch requested the Council <br />write him a letter, in favor of placing the proposal on the ballot. Clerk was so <br />instructed. <br />PAUL LORETZ requested the Council do something about the parking and traffic on <br />Spring Street. Mr. Loretz was promised that another survey would be made and <br />that as soon as the new Traffic Ordinance went into effect something would be <br />done to relieve the congestion. <br />COMMITTEE &TORTS: <br />STREETS BUILDINGS: Councilman Hansen reported that Mr. John Deetz had put in a <br />block of cement at the foot of the slope wall. Councilman Hansen also reported <br />that the Clerk be instructed to contact P.G. &E. in regards to trimming a number <br />of trees in Town because of the hazard they present. <br />THE CLERK was also instructed to write Mrs. J. H. Cops with regards to the condi- <br />tion of the eucalyptus trees on her property and suggest trimming them below the <br />cracks in the trunks or removal. <br />JOE MEDEIROS informed the Council that he would take one week of his vacation <br />starting September 14th. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT CITY HALL: Councilman Trimingham reported that a represenative <br />of Elliott Elliott Roofers would be here Sept. 6th to go over the job of new <br />roofs for Fire House City Hall. <br />MAYOR:OXSEN: Discussed the need of many changes in our water system, with the <br />possibility of a new city well connecting pumps, etc. Councilman Trimingham <br />volunteered to contact Mr. Yount about connecting the two pumps at Black Ave. <br />with automatic shut -offs in order to pump to capacity of City booster pump. <br />THE CLERK was ordered to contact Livermore, to :ascertain approxlmate.,attendance <br />at Barbecue September 28th. <br />ON MOTION by Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Trimingham and approved <br />by all Councilmen to dispense with the second reading of Ordinance #210. <br />
