CQ <br />C <br />CC! <br /><Z <br />1 <br />Pleasanton, California <br />August 14, 1950 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in adjourned regular session at 8:00 <br />P.M. on the above date with Mayor Oxsen in the chair. Roll call showed present <br />Councilmen Hansen, Trimingham and Toney. <br />Absent Councilman Hewitson due to illness. 1° <br />Fire Chief Amaral; presented the Council with a•list of equipment needed by the <br />Department before schooling began. Informal discussion followed: <br />BY MOTION of Councilman Trimingham, and secondes by Councilman Hansen and approved <br />by all Councilmen that Fire Chief Amaral be authorized to make necessary equipment <br />purchases. -,at approx. $500.00. Also tocpurchase a new battery and have Mack Fire <br />truck serviced by Mack representative. <br />RESOLUTION, NO. 2117 fixing the Tax Rate for the Town of Pleasanton for the fiscal <br />year 1950/51 at $1.40 per $100.00 assessed valuation, was adopted on motion of <br />Councilman Toney, seconded by Councilman Trimingham and approved by all Councilmen. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Geo'..,Campouris Roofing to Fire House and City Hall.• <br />Fire House ,300.:00 <br />City Hall 500.00 Tar and Gravel <br />Council wishes estimate for J.N. White Top. <br />THERE BEING no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was ad- <br />journed at P.M. to meet again Friday 25th. :00 P <br />1, <br />S r <br />Mayor <br />Pleasanton, California <br />August 25, 1950 <br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton met in special session on' :the above <br />date at 8:00 P.M. with Mayor Oxsen in the chair. Roll call showed: Councilmen <br />Hansen and °Trimingham present. <br />Absent Toney and Councilman Hewitson, who is ill. <br />Mayor Oxsen stated that the purpose of this meeting was to discuss the request <br />of $6,000.00 from the Board of Supervisors for repairs to major Streets. Also <br />to appoint_a Coordinator for the Civilian Defense Program; <br />Discussions. of Streets in need of Repair: It was decided, and on motion by <br />Councilman.Trimingham, seconded by Councilman Hansen that the Council make formal <br />application to the Board of Supervisors for $6,000.00 for resurfacing'St. Mary's <br />Street west from Main Street. <br />COMMUNICATION in the form of a bid was read by Mayor Oxsen from Elliott <br />Elliot Roofers of Oakland $745.00 for both Fire House and City Hall roofs. <br />CLERK was ordered to write Elliott Elliott Roofers to have their represenative <br />meet with Mayor Oxsen in regards to this bid. <br />MAYOR OXSEN Appointed ex -Mayor Earl Trimingham to the post of Coordinator of <br />Civilian Defense for the Town of Pleasanton. <br />THERE BEING no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjounced <br />at 9 :30 P.M. to meet again in regular session September '5, 1950 at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mayor <br />
