CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-132 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLEASANTON ENERGY <br />PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 3, 2002, the City Council received the report of the <br /> Directors of Planning and Public Works (SR 02:290) regarding the Draft Energy <br /> Plan for the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on December 3, 2002; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves the Pleasanton Energy Plan, Exhibit A, as the City's guiding <br />energy-related policy document with the following modifications: <br /> <br />In Section E.2.g. of the Energy Plan, change the word "require" to <br />"promote"; and in Section E.2.e., change "Develop" to "Consider <br />developing". <br /> <br />In Section D of the Energy Plan, instead of creating a permanent Energy <br />Committee, create an Interim Energy Committee that would operate for two <br />years. After two years, the City Council would revisit the Committee's <br />activities and consider extending the life of the Committee for a time period <br />deemed appropriate or fold the monitoring of energy activities into the work <br />and responsibilities of the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Appoint the Core Energy Advisory Group members to the Interim Energy <br />Committee for an initial two-year period. Each City Councilmember is to appoint <br />one additional member to the Interim Energy Committee for the same two-year <br />period. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />Direct the Interim Energy Committee to submit projects for the March/June 2003 <br />City Council priority-setting/CIP process. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
