CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1268 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM (PERS) FOR HIGHEST YEAR COMPENSATION WHEREAS, an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton authorizing an amendment to the contract between the City Council of the City of Pleasanton and the Board of Administration of the California Public Employees' Retirement System. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 2: That an amendment to the Contract between the City Council of the City of Pleasanton and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement System is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in full. Section 2: The Mayor of the City Council is hereby authorized, empowered, and directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of said Agency. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect September 20, 1986 and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from the passage thereof shall be published at least one time in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Pleasanton, thenceforth and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City Of Pleasanton on August 5, 1986. ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on August 19, 1986 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers - Mercer, Mohr, Butler and Wood NOES: None ABSENT: Mayor Brandes ABSTAIN: None
