CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1258 <br /> <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF CALLAHAN-PENTZ PROPERTIES <br /> AND PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY OF AMERICA TO REZONE <br /> APPROXIMATELY 10.5 ACRES FROM PUD (PLANNED UNIT <br /> DEVELOPMENT)-OFFICE DISTRICT TO THE PUD (PLANNED UNIT <br /> DEVELOPMENT)-HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT LOCATED <br /> IN THE AREA BOUNDED BY OWENS DRIVE, WEST LAS POSITAS <br /> BOULEVARD, A PORTION OF THE FORMER RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY <br /> OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION COMPANY, AND <br /> TASSAJARA CREEK (PUD-86-5) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Callahan-Pentz Properties and Prudential Insurance <br /> Company of America applied to have an approximately 10.5 <br /> acre site located in the area bounded by Owens Drive, <br /> West Las Positas Boulevard, a portion of the former <br /> railroad right-of-way of the Southern Pacific <br /> Transportation Company and Tassajara Creek, rezoned from <br /> PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Office District to the <br /> PUD (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential <br /> District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating no <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment, a <br /> negative declaration was adopted by Council on June 17, <br /> 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on June 17, 196; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this rezoning is consistent <br /> with the General Plan policies of the City of <br /> Pleasanton; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the rezoning of an approximately 10.5 acre <br /> site located in the area bounded by Owens Drive, West <br /> Las Positas Boulevard, a portion of the former railroad <br /> right-of-way of the Southern Pacific Transportation <br /> Company and Tassajara Creek, from "PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-Office District" to the "PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-High Density Residential District." <br /> <br />Section 2: The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated <br /> April 18, 1960, on file with the City Clerk, designating <br /> and dividing the City into zoning districts is hereby <br /> <br /> <br />
