ATTACHMENT 5
Brian Dolan
From: Canfield, Greg [greg.canfield @roche.com]
Sent: Friday, October 02, 2009 2:04 PM
To: Nelson Fialho; Brian Dolan
Cc: Canfield, Greg {Faci Pleasanton james @hacienda.org
Subject: FW: Hacienda Planning Status Report
Attachments: Hacienda Employee Retail Demand Assessment_092209.pdf; PRZ_Hacienda
Rezon i ng_P RZ- 48_092309_PC. pdf
Dear Mr. Fialho and Mr. Dolan,
Due to extenuating circumstances Roche unfortunately wasn't able to attend the recent Neighborhood and
Planning Commission meetings. Please be assured that this wasn't due to a lack of interest or decision to no
longer participate. Roche has participated and been actively involved in this process for the past seven years.
We remain fully committed to working with the City of Pleasanton and other Hacienda Business Park
Stakeholders to rezone our site for possible mixed -use development.
Given the above I'm somewhat surprised by the outcome of the meetings and the PIa /not-
Commission
recommendation to exclude our site for rezoning. I'm hopeful that our absence was interpreted as a lack of
interest. I trust City Staff still supports their rezoning recommendation as outlined in their September 23, 2009
Planning Commission Staff Report.
I appreciate your support and kindly ask that you share this communication with the appropriate city staff to insure
a common understanding of our plans. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Greg Canfield LEED AP
Sr. Director, Facilities Management
Roche Molecular Diagnostics
4300 Hacienda Drive
Pleasanton, CA 94588 -2722
greg.canfield@roche com
(925) 730 -8290 Tel
(925) 225-0957
From: James Paxson [mailto:james @hacienda.org]
Sent: Friday, October 02, 2009 9:14 AM
To: Canfield, Greg {FacikPleasanton}
Subject: Fwd: Hacienda Planning Status Report
Forwarded Message
From: "James Paxson" james @hacienda.org>
To: "TOD Stakeholders" <todcore @hacienda.org>
Cc: "BDolan" <BDolan @ci.pleasanton.ca.us "Janice Stern" <jstern @ci.pleasanton.ca.us "Jerry Iserson"
jerry. iserson @att. net>
Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 3:30:46 PM GMT -08:00 US /Canada Pacific
Subject: Hacienda Planning Status Report
To: Hacienda Stakeholders
10/14/2009
