MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> September 1, 2009 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember <br /> Thorne led in the Pledge of Allegiance and provided the introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> CLOSED SESSION REPORT <br /> City Attorney Roush reported that the Council authorized settlement with respect to a property <br /> damage claim with John Santos and in the matter of Matthewson vs. City of Pleasanton. The <br /> Council also provided direction with respect to Urban Habitat Program vs. City of Pleasanton <br /> and The People of the State of California vs. City of Pleasanton. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> City Manager Fialho stated that Item 1, an amendment to the master fee schedule, is continued <br /> to September 15, 2009. <br /> Councilmember Thorne requested continuance of Item 12, PPOL -1. He said there have been <br /> considerable public requests for continuance, that this is an incredibly important issue, and he <br /> would like time to better understand the consequences of any action taken. Council concurred <br /> with the request for continuance. <br /> Councilmember McGovern requested a meeting with staff to discuss possible additions to the <br /> agenda report. <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> City Attorney <br /> 1. Continued to September 15, 2009 Adopt a resolution amending the Master Fee <br /> Schedule related to Parking Citation Penalties and introduce an ordinance amending <br /> Chapter 1.12 (General Penalty) and Chapter 11.38 (Residential Permit Parking Zone) of <br /> the Pleasanton Municipal Code <br /> City Manager <br /> 2. Waived second reading and adopted Ordinance No. 1993 amending Chapter 6.24 of the <br /> Municipal Code concerning massage providers to conform to new state law <br /> Community Development <br />
