Contract for Consultant Services San Francisco Shakespeare Festival Scope of Work Exhibit `A' 1) San Francisco Shakespeare Festival (SFSF) will manage a production of Cinderella in partnership with the City of Pleasanton's Civic Arts Stage Company. 2) SFSF shall commission an original cutting of Kate Holly's panto -style script, originally performed at Shakespeare Santa Cruz. SFSF shall secure performance rights and shall provide cast scripts. 3) SFSF's Rebecca Ennals will be the Stage Director; as such, she shall cast the show, conduct rehearsals, work with designers and carry out the artistic vision for the show. 4) SFSF shall provide casting assistance by pre- casting three professional actors in key roles and by managing the casting process. 5) City of Pleasanton's Linda Ebright will take audition appointments. SFSF shall double -cast the show in an explicit effort to create more opportunities for children to be involved in this production. 6) SFSF will provide one production stage manager to coordinate rehearsals, technical aspects and "call" each show. SFSF shall also provide an ASM /props person to further enhance the supervision of the production. 7) SFSF will provide all design elements including: a. Set Design SF Shakes will hire Set designer and builders to create a set appropriate for this production. Set will need to move into Set Wing area for rental on December 4th only (no other interim rentals). City of Pleasanton shall provide four individuals to assist the Set designer with Toad -in and strike. b. Costume Design SF Shakes will hire Costume designer and builder to create, rent, or "pull" all costumes appropriate for this production. SF Shakes will keep whatever costumes it "builds with the agreement that City of Pleasanton may borrow these costumes on a future date free of charge. c. Lighting Design SF Shakes will hire Lighting designer to create light plot, supervise light hang and focus and work with director to create cues to enhance theatrical production. Lighting designer will use only existing lighting equipment inventory of the Amador Theater, unless agreed to in advance by City of Pleasanton. d. Props SF Shakes will acquire all props needed for this production, either by renting, building or purchasing each prop. e. Sound SF Shakes in collaboration with director will provide all sound cues necessary for the artistic vision of the production. Choreography, Music Director, Musicians As Cinderella is a musical, SFSF shall also provide these additional elements. g. In addition, City of Pleasanton shall provide one Amador Theater staff member (Bob Elliot) to run the sound board and a second (Mike Roberts) to operate Fly rail. Both shall attend all rehearsals as called by the stage manager and all performances. 8) SF Shakes will facilitate collaboration with City of Pleasanton staff by sharing design concepts as they are developed. 9) SF Shakes will coordinate with Amador Theater tech staff to deliver all design elements built off -site to the Amador Theater at previously scheduled date and time to coincide with production schedule. 10) SF Shakes will conduct technical /dress rehearsals at Amador Theater, seeing production through opening night. 11) SF Shakes will conduct strike of all design elements, hauling away any set pieces and costumes used in this production, coordinating with technical staff of Amador Theater. 12) SF Shakes shall be responsible for several marketing deliverables, including a YouTube promotional video, which shall also be posted on Facebook and Twitter. City of Pleasanton and SFSF shall determine whether Facebook and Twitter shall be under SF Shakes identity or separate one. SF Shakes shall also provide three e- parent newsletters, similar to those provided to SF Shakes camp families. SFSF shall provide or proof all marketing materials related to this scope of work; and City of Pleasanton shall give at least one week's notice of upcoming print deadlines.
