Approved plans and specifications, reviewed bids, awarded and authorized the City Manager to execute contract #09 -476C with California Roofing Company, Inc. in the amount of $237,500 for the Pleasanton Senior Center Re -Roof Project, CIP No. 097027; authorized the Director of Community Development to approve and execute change orders in an amount not to exceed $47,500 and the transfer of $43,100 from the Facilities Renovation Fund budget to CIP No. 097027 7. Adopted Resolution 09 -317 approving an addendum to the Tri- Valley Transportation Council Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement and Implement change in TVTC Fee 8. Accepted public improvements from Valley Crest Landscape Development, Inc. for Bernal Community Park Phase I (Lighted Sports Fields), CIP No. 007065; authorized the City Clerk to file a notice of completion and retain the project balance of $1,019,191 in the Bernal Property Improvement Reserve, CIP No. 017045 Finance 9. Accepted the Monthly Disbursements and Investment Report for July 2009 Mayor City Council 10. Public Comment Fred Norman noted that Pleasanton's behavior characteristic for September is responsibility and Council members should take responsibility, both individually and collectively, for their actions and inactions. He asked what responsibility means if it does not apply to the 5,154 American troops killed, and he urged the Council to take a stance on the wars. Kathy Dowding reported that August was the deadliest month for U.S. forces in nearly 8 years of involvement in Afghanistan.
