CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-118 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF <br />CITIZENS' OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAM <br />FUNDS AS RECOMMENDED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of October 15, 2002, the Chief of Police presented a report <br /> (SR02:253) describing the recommendations for use of Citizens' Option for Public <br /> Safety (COPS) funds received fzom the State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the <br /> Government Code and in accordance with AB 1584. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for expenditures of COPS <br />funds which are as follows: <br /> Approximate <br /> Allocation <br /> <br />Traffic Safety/Anti-DUI Programs $25,000 <br />Off-Road and Park Patrol 15,000 <br />Every 15 Minutes Program/Amador Valley High 3,000 <br />Chemical, Biological and Radiological Protection 21,000 <br />Portable Radio Headsets S.W.A.T. 6,500 <br />Tactical Helmets/S.W.A.T. 4,200 <br />Metal Detectors (Handheld Magnetometers) 2,000 <br />Lighting and Siren Equipment for S.W.A.T. vehicles 1,750 <br />Volunteer Alternate Uniforms 2,500 <br />Crime Scene/Community Service Utility Vehicle 30,000 <br />Crime Scene Equipment and Supplies 10,000 <br />Handheld Digital Cameras 11,000 <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
