Standards in their entirety do not adequately address the life safety <br />requirements of the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that because of pending litigation between <br />HCD and a group of private organizations (the California Pipe <br />Trades Council, et al), the requirements of this Ordinance are <br />necessary for continuity of construction materials and the health, <br />safety and welfare of the residents of the City of P leasanton: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council finds that because of the local topography and <br />recent seismic activity and fire related death and damage in the <br />City of Pleasanton and pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section <br />18941.5 the requirements of the Pleasanton Municipal Code <br />Sections 20.08.017, 20.08.018, 20.08.022, 20.20.024, 20.08.025, <br />20.08.026, 20.08.027, 20.08.029, 20.08.030, 20.08.032 20.08.034, <br />20.08.038, 20.08.039, 20.08.042, 20.08.044, 2008.045, 20.08.046, <br />20.08.048, 20.08.049, 20.08.050, 20.08.053, 20.08.054, 20.08.055, <br />20.08.057, 20.08.058, 20.08.060, 20.08.062, 20.08.064, 20.08.066, <br />20.08.068, 20.08.072, 20.08.074, 20.08.075, 20.08.076, 20.08.078, <br />20.08.094, 20.08.100, 20.08.103, 20.08.105, 20.08.107, 20.08.109, <br />20.08.110, 20.08.112, 20.08.115, 20.08.117, 20.08.119, 20.12.014, <br />20.16.014, 20.20.014, 20.20.022, 20.20.024. 20.20.025, 20.20.026, <br />20.20.027, 2020.028, 20.24.020, 20.24.030, 20.24.040, 20.24.055, <br />20.24.060. 20.24.080, 20.24.090, 20.24.100, 20.24.110, 20.24,120, <br />20.24.130, 20.24.140, 20.24.150, 20.24.160, 20.24.190, 20.24.200 <br />and 20.24.220 the codes and standards of this Ordinance are <br />necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the <br />City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY <br /> ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Chapter 20.04 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as amended, is hereby <br />further amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"20.04.010 Uniform Administrative Code Adopted. <br /> <br />A. There is adopted by reference that certain code known <br />as the Uniform Administrative Code, as more particularly <br />described in this Section, except such portions as are <br />amended, modified or deleted in this Chapter, and the same <br />is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in <br />this Chapter. <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br /> <br />
