For elements not part of the lateral-force-resisting system, the forces induced by the expected deformation may be considered as ultimate or factored forces. When computing the forces induced by expected deformations, the restraining effect of adjoining rigid structures and nonstructural elements shall be considered and a rational value of member and restraint stiffness shall be used. Inelastic deformations of members and connections are permitted to occur, provided the assumed calculated capacities are consistent with member and connection design and detailing." Section 3. Chapter 20.12 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "20.12.010 Uniform Plumbing Code adopted. A. There is adopted by reference that certain code known as the Uniform Plumbing Code, more particularly described in this Section, except such portions as are amended, modified or deleted in this Chapter, and the same is adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length in this Chapter. B. There is adopted by reference that certain Code known as the California Building Standards Code 2001 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and including by reference the Uniform Plumbing Code, 2000 Edition, and Appendix Chapters A, B, C, D, F, G, H and I, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials. One (1) copy of this Code is on file with the City Clerk for use by the public. C. Where there is a reference in the Code to the "Building Official" it shall mean the "Chief Building Official" or in the absence of the Chief, the Interim, Tc~mporary or Acting Chief Building Official.
