When the load combinations from Section 1612.3 for ASD are used, <br />structural steel buildings shall be designed in accordance with Chapter <br />22 Division III (AISC-ASD) and Part III of AISC-Seismic as modified <br />by this Division. <br /> <br />20.08.055 Section 1900.4.4 Amended - Minimum Slab Thickness <br /> <br />Section 1900.4.4 of the California Building Standards Code 2001 Edition <br /> (24 CCR), and including by reference the Uniform Building Code, <br /> 1997 Edition, is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Minimum slab thickness. The minimum thickness of <br />concrete floor slabs supported directly on the ground shall <br />not be less than 3 1/2 inches (89 mm). The slab shall be <br />reinforced with not less than six inches by six inches ten <br />gauge welded wire mesh or an approved alternate installed <br />at mid height of the slab. <br /> <br />20.08.057 Section 2513.1 Amended - Shear-Resisting Construction With <br /> Wood Frame: <br /> <br />Section 2513.1 of the California Building Standards Code 2001 Edition <br /> (24 CCR), and including by reference the Uniform Building <br /> Code, 1997 Edition, is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />General. Cement plaster, gypsum lath and plaster, gypsum <br />veneer base, gypsum sheathing board, and gypsum <br />wallboard may be used, on wood studs for vertical <br />diaphragms in single story R3 and U occupancies if <br />applied in accordance with this section. Shear-resisting <br />values shall not exceed those set forth in Table 25-I. The <br />effects of overturning on vertical diaphragms shall be <br />investigated in accordance with Section 1605.2.2. <br /> <br />(Section 20.08.058, Deleted) <br /> <br />20.08.059 Section 3301.2.1 Amended - Encroachment Permit: <br /> <br />Section 3301.2.1 of the Califomia Building Standards Code 2001 Edition <br /> (24 CCR) adopting by reference the Uniform Building Code, 1997 <br /> Edition, is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Encroachment Permit.
