54. <br /> <br />The project developer shall provide to the buyers of the houses covered by this approval <br />photovoltaic systems as an option. With the building permit plan set, the project developer <br />shall show the installations for each of the buildings covered by this approval to the <br />satisfaction of the Planning Developer before issuance of a building permit. The project <br />developer shall provide to the future homebuyers the necessary information delineating the <br />means by which photovoltaic panels can be applied to the roofs of the structures covered by <br />this approval. This information shall be submitted to the Director of Planning for review and <br />approval prior to occupancy of the first unit. <br /> <br />55. <br /> <br />All green building measures shall be shown on the building permit plan set submitted to the <br />Planning Director for review and approval before issuance of the first building permit. <br /> <br />56. <br /> <br />The project developer shall submit a waste management plan to the Building Department <br />prior to issuance of a building permit. The plan shall include the estimated composition and <br />quantities of waste to be generated and how the project developer intends to recycle at least <br />50% (fifty percent) of the total job site construction and demolition waste measured by <br />weight or volume. Proof of compliance shall be provided to the Chief Building Official prior <br />to the issuance ora final building permit. During construction, the project developer shall <br />mark all trash disposal bins "trash materials only" and all recycling bins "recyclable <br />materials only". Prior to submittal of the waste management plan, the project developer shall <br />contact Pleasanton Garbage Service to create a comprehensive plan for removal of all waste <br />and recycling from the site. <br /> <br />Building and Site Design Requirements <br />57. The project developer shall post address numerals on the building so as to be plainly visible <br /> from all adjoining streets or driveways during both daylight and night time hours. <br /> <br />58. <br /> <br />Approved building materials and colors shall be stated on the plans submitted for issuance of <br />building permits. <br /> <br />59. <br /> <br />The homes covered by this approval shall be constructed to encourage telecommuting by <br />providing as an option telecommunications infrastructure consistent with state-of-the-art <br />methods, e.g., cabling for DSL service, wiring for total room access, etc. The project <br />developer shall submit with the first building permit application those measures included in <br />the home construction for review and approval by the Planning Director before issuance of <br />the first building permit. <br /> <br />60. <br /> <br />Only natural gas burning fireplaces or USEPA-approved wood/pellet burning stoves shall be <br />permitted in the proposed houses. <br /> <br />City Council Page 17 of 32 August 20, 2002 <br /> <br /> <br />
