3.4 "Basic Cable Service" means the provision of any <br /> <br /> service tier which includes the retransmission of local television <br /> broadcast signals, and the equipment necessary for the reception of <br /> those signals at a subscriber's first cable outlet. <br /> <br /> 3.5 "Broadcast Signal" means a television or radio signal <br /> <br /> that is licensed by the FCC and is transmitted over the air to a wide <br /> geographic audience and is received by a Cable Communications System. <br /> <br /> 3.6 "Cable Communications S~.stem" or "System", also <br /> <br /> referred to as "Cable TelevisiOn System", or "CATV System", <br /> means a facility, consisting of a set of closed transmission <br /> paths and associated signal generation, reception, and control <br /> equipment that is designed to provide cable service which <br /> includes video programming and which is provided to multiple <br /> subscribers within a community. <br /> <br /> 3.7 "Cable Service" means (a) the one-way transmission to <br /> <br />subscribers of (1) video programming, or (2) other programming service, <br />and (b) subscriber interaction, if any, which is required for the <br />selection of such video programming or other programming service. <br /> <br /> 3.8 "Cablecast Signal" means a nonbroadcast signal that <br /> <br />originates within the facilities of the Cable Communications System. <br /> <br /> 3.9 "C_hannel" means a six (6) Megahertz (~Hz) frequency <br /> <br /> band, which is capable of carrying either one (1) standard <br /> television or video signal, a num~ber of audio, digital or other <br /> non-video signals, or some combination of such signals. <br /> <br /> 3.10 "Class IV Channel" means a signaling path provided <br /> <br /> by a Cable Communications System to transmit signals of any <br /> type from a subscriber terminal to another point in the cable <br /> television system. <br /> <br /> <br />
