RESOLUTION NO. 09 -314 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, ADOPTING THE PLEASANTON GENERAL PLAN 2005 -2025 WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton prepared a Draft Pleasanton General Plan 2005 -2025 "Project and WHEREAS, on July 21, 2009, the City Council received the Planning Commission's positive recommendation for approval of the Project and, on that date, received reports from the City staff concerning the Project; and WHEREAS, on July 21, 2009, the City Council conducted a public hearing on the Project, took testimony from members of the public, and considered the recommendations of the City staff concerning the Project; and WHEREAS, on July 21, 2009, the City Council certified the Final Environmental Impact (EIR) Report for the Project, finding that the Final EIR was complete, adequate, and in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and WHEREAS, on July 21, 2009, the City Council adopted CEQA Findings and a Statement of Overriding Considerations for the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: SECTION 1. Adopts the Pleasanton General Plan 2005 -2025, dated April 24, 2009, a full and complete copy of which is on file with the Planning Division of the Community Development Department, with the changes set forth in the attached Exhibit B, thereby replacing the City of Pleasanton General Plan, dated August 6, 1996, in its entirety, but not the City of Pleasanton General Plan Housing Element, dated April 15, 2003. SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a regular meeting held on July 21, 2009.
