CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-095 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF <br />CITIZENS' OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAM <br />FUNDS AS RECOMMENDED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of August 20, 2002, the Chief of Police presented a report (SR <br />02:192) describing the recommendations for use of Citizens' Option for Public <br />Safety (COPS) funds received from the State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the <br />Government Code and in accordance with AB 1584. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for expenditures of COPS <br />funds which are as follows: <br /> Approximate <br /> Allocation <br /> <br />Automatic Cardiac Defibrillators $40,000 <br />Radar Guns 3,200 <br />Arson Investigation Protective Equipment 5,000 <br />Bomb Canines 10,000 <br />Digital Photo Archive and Imaging System 44,000 <br />Metal Detector 4,000 <br />SWAT Parkas 3,400 <br />Laptop Computers 6,000 <br />Night Vision Devices 10,000 <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
