RESOLUTION NO. 09 -310 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A BANKING SERVICES <br /> AGREEMENT WITH UNION BANK OF CALIFORNIA TO PROVIDE UTILITY BILLING <br /> REMITTANCE PROCESSING SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton wishes to enter into an agreement with Union Bank <br /> of California to provide remittance processing services commonly referred to as "Iockbox" <br /> services; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff presented to Council such an agreement on July 21, 2009; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff is recommending execution of the agreement. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. That the City Manager of the City of Pleasanton is authorized to enter into <br /> a contract with Union Bank of California, N.A, to establish bank accounts and services; sign, or <br /> change in writing, agreements with the Bank regarding the City of Pleasanton's bank deposit <br /> relationship; specify in writing to the Bank the individuals who are authorized in the name of and <br /> on behalf of the City of Pleasanton to: withdraw funds from any of the City of Pleasanton's <br /> banking account on City of Pleasanton checks or orders; endorse and deliver to the Bank, for <br /> any purposes, and in any amount, negotiable or non negotiable items of any kind, and owned <br /> by, or held by or payable to The City of Pleasanton; send, review, and /or authorize wire and <br /> electronic transfers of funds from the City of Pleasanton's accounts, such authority may be <br /> exercised by such authorized individuals acting along, regardless of any multiple signature <br /> requirement otherwise applicable to the accounts; otherwise access the City of Pleasanton's <br /> deposit accounts. <br /> SECTION 2. City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into <br /> the book of original resolutions. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br /> a regular meeting held on July 21, 2009. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 21s of July, 2009, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Cook- Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> Karen iaz, City Clerk <br /> APPROVED AS TO FORM <br /> n- <br /> Michael H.
