CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1344 <br /> <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST <br /> OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS FOR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br /> REZONING AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL FOR A CHAPEL AND <br /> RELATED IMPROVEMENTS WITH A REMAINDER AREA FOR POTENTIAL <br /> FUTURE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT ON APPROXIMATELY 4.9 <br /> ACRES LOCATED AT 3574 VINEYARD AVENUE (PUD-87-22) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints applied <br /> for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development <br /> plan approval for construction of an approximately <br /> 14,800 sq. ft. chapel and related improvements and a <br /> remainder area for potential future residential <br /> development to be located on an approximately 4.9 acre <br /> site located at 3574 Vineyard Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative <br /> declaration was adopted by Council on November 3, 1987; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the development plan and <br /> rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on November 3, <br /> 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this development plan and <br /> rezoning is consistent with the General Plan policies of <br /> the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the rezonj. ng of an approximately 4.9 acre <br /> site to PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density <br /> Residential/Public and Institutional to accommodate a <br /> church and single family residential development as <br /> permitted uses. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton dated <br /> April 18, 1960, on file with the City Clerk, designating <br /> and dividing the City into zoning districts is hereby <br /> amended by Zoning Unit Map #355, attached hereto as <br /> Exhibit "A" dated November 3, 1987, and incorporated <br /> herein by reference. <br /> <br />Section 3: Approves the development plan for an approximately <br /> 14,800 sq. ft. church and related improvements on 2.9 <br /> acres and a 6 lot single family subdivision on the <br /> <br /> <br />
