EXHIBIT A Scope of Services PLAN REVIEW SERVICES. CONSULTANT shall apply the provisions of the CI'I'Y's Building, Fire, Electrical, Plumbing, and Mechanical Codes; the City of Pleasanton's Ordinances; related Building Division and Fire Department Policies; and State and local laws. CONSULTANT shall make such inspections and investigations as may be required to effect the application, enforcement and issuance of permits as are required by the CITY'S Ordinances and duly adopted policies. Such enforcement shall include the duties related to the Building Official and Fire Marshal as set forth in the Pleasanton Municipal Code, and in the performance of such work the CONSULTANT shall do the following: 1. Plan Review. As directed by the Building Official and Fire Marshal, review plans and documents prepared by or on behalf of building and fire permit applicants for compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and City ordinances and regulations. CONSULTANT shall maintain a close liaison with other City Department Staff in order to assure that appropriate requirements of other City Ordinances are incorporated within the submitted plans and documents. CONSULTANT will strive to complete the first plan review within ten (10) business days after submittal of complete plans and documents from the building /fire permit applicant to the City of Pleasanton Building Division. CONSULTANT shall communicate any initial correction list to We designer or professional and also provide a copy of any initial correction list to the City of Pleasanton Building Division immediately upon completion of plan review. The goal agreed to by CONSULTANT will be to complete 100% of all submittal documents within the 10 day period. CITY recognizes that 011 large -scale projects this may not be possible and CONSULTANT will strive for a plan review period that does not exceed fifteen (15) business days on large -scale projects. For larger projects CONSULTANT must check with the Building Official to request a fifteen (15) business day review time. All subsequent correction lists shall be communicated to the designer or professional within five (5) working clays of resubmittal to the City of Pleasanton Building Division. CONSULTANT shall check with Building Official to determine if projects are to be considered to be large- scale. CONSULTANT Correction list must contain the following language: 1. T.E.S.S. is a plan review consulting firm. We are authorized by the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department to perform plan reviews.
