FOR <br /> THE MOHR AVENUE SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, CIP <br /> NO. 015032 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Mohr Avenue Sidewalk Construction project has been completed and staff is <br /> recommending final project acceptance. The project was designed to improve <br /> pedestrian access, as well as storm water collection. The work consisted of removing <br /> existing asphalt sidewalk and replacing it with new concrete sidewalk, installing curb <br /> and gutter, two ADA- compliant ramps, and accompanying landscaping. The project is <br /> located on Mohr Avenue between Santa Rita Road and the Alameda County <br /> Transportation Corridor. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> 1. Accept the project improvements and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> 2. Authorize payment of remaining contract balance when directed by the California <br /> Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. <br /> 3. Authorize the use of $4,657 in available funds from the project budget, CIP No. <br /> 015032, to cover additional construction expenses that exceed the approved <br /> construction budget. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> This project replaced and upgraded existing infrastructure and will not increase <br /> maintenance costs. <br />
