CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1316 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.08.080 OF PMC REGARDING <br /> ENFORCEMENT <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Section 2.08.080 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "2.08.080 Law Enforcement <br /> <br /> It shall be the duty of the city manager to enforce all <br /> laws and ordinances of the city and to see that all <br /> franchises, contracts, permits and privileges granted by <br /> the city council are faithfully observed. <br /> <br /> The city manager shall appoint certain specified city <br /> personnel to enforce ordinances and statutes pursuant to <br /> the requirements of Penal Code Section 836.5." <br /> <br /> Section 2: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a <br /> newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Pleasanton on May 19, 1987. <br /> <br /> ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton on June 2, 1987 by the following vote: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br />~_ KENNETH R.
