CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-065 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADDING AN ITEM TO THE AGENDA <br />REGARDING APPLICATION FOR USED OIL RECYCLING <br />BLOCK GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act mandates the California Integrated <br />Waste Management Board to provide annual Block Grants to local governments <br />for establishing local collection programs that encourage recycling of used oil; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff became aware of the deadline for filing a grant application after the agenda <br /> for the June 18, 2002 Council meeting was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Brown Act permits the Council to add an item to the agenda upon a two-thirds <br /> vote of the Council that the item arose after the time the agenda was posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, authorization to submit the grant application is critical for funding of this program <br /> and must be done before the City Council meets again. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Based on the findings set forth above, a resolution authorizing submittal of an <br />application for the Used Oil Recycling Block Grant is hereby added to the June 18, <br />2002 agenda for Council consideration and action. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON JUNE 18, 2002 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
