CERTIFICATE OF THE CITY CLERK <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA ) <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON ) <br /> <br />I, Peggy L. Ezidro, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, do hereby certify that: <br /> <br /> 1. On Wednesday, May 8, 2002, Brian Arkin and Steve Brozosky submitted <br />to this office an initiative petition entitled: "An Initiative Measure Amending the Bemal <br />Property Specific Plan to Prohibit the Transfer or Sale of Any Portion of City Owned <br />Land Within the Specific Plan Boundaries, to Require All Such Land to be Accessible by <br />the Public, and to Prohibit Housing of any Type on City Owned Land Within the Specific <br />Plan Boundaries"; and <br /> <br /> 2. In accordance with California Elections Code Section 9202, 9210(a), it has <br />been determined that the Registrar of Voter's last official report of registration to the <br />Secretary of State at the time the Notice of Intention was published was 34,941 registered <br />voters and that 10% of said registration would require 3,494 valid signatures to qualify <br />the petition; and <br /> <br /> 3. The Registrar of Voters has examined the petition signatures, using the <br />random sample method as set forth in Elections Code Section 9115, and it has been <br />determined that the initiative petition is hereby acknowledged as sufficient this 13th day <br />of May, 2002. <br /> <br /> This initiative petition is found to be sufficient to require the City Council of the <br />City of Pleasanton to take action as specified in California Elections Code Section 9215. <br /> <br /> In witness whereof, I hereby set my hand and affix my official seal this 13th day of <br />May, 2002. .-----. <br /> <br /> Peggy~L.°Ez~dfo, Cit(/Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
