CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-045 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SETTING HOURLY WAGE RATES FOR <br />PART-TIME/SEASONAL EMPLOYEES IN THE PARKS AND <br />COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City of Pleasanton employs individuals in the Parks and Community Services <br />Department on a part-time basis not to exceed 1,000 hours of employment in a <br />fiscal year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these individuals are paid on an hourly basis according to an established schedule <br /> of hourly wage rates; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a survey of comparable agencies indicated the wages on this City of Pleasanton <br /> schedule are significantly below the mean average; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, adjustment to the part-time classifications on this schedule would create wage <br /> compaction with the regular classification of Senior Transportation Driver; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Council adopts the attached schedule of hourly wage rates and Senior <br />Transportation Driver salary range for the period commencing July 6, 2002. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON MAY 7, 2002 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
