CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1305 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO CALIFORNIA PUBLIC <br /> EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM (PERS) CONTRACT TO PROVIDE <br /> SECTION 20862.8 (CREDIT FOR UNUSED SICK LEAVE) TO LOCAL <br /> FIRE MEMBERS ONLY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pleasanton adopted a <br /> resolution of intention to amend the contract between <br /> the City Council of the City of Pleasanton and the <br /> Public Employees' Retirement System; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: That an amendment to the contract between the City <br /> Council of the City of Pleasanton and the Board of <br /> Administration, California Public Employees' Retirement <br /> System, is hereby authorized, a copy of said amendment <br /> being attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and by such <br /> reference made a part hereof as though herein set out in <br /> full. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is hereby authorized, empowered, and <br /> directed to execute said amendment for and on behalf of <br /> the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect June 4, 1987. <br /> <br />Section 4: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days of its adoption in "The Valley Times," a <br /> newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on April 7, 1987. <br /> <br /> <br />
