PROJECT ECONOMIC, SOCIAL ENVIRONMENTAL, AND OTHER BENEFITS <br /> <br />The project's economic, social, environmental, and other <br />benefits include: <br /> <br /> 1. provision of high-end housing consistent with City plans <br /> and policies; <br /> <br />2. short-ten local construction jobs; <br /> <br />3. likely positive City/County fiscal benefits due to <br /> assumption of some City services by homeowners; <br /> <br />4. provision of on-site recreational facilities for project <br /> residences; <br /> <br />5. penanent retention of open space directly along rural, <br /> scenic Foothill Road and on Pleasanton Ridge; <br /> <br />6 dedication and improvement of Foothill Road expansion <br /> meeting community needs; <br /> <br />7. improvement of riparian habitat on site; and <br /> <br />8. reduction in wildland fire risk to existing residences <br /> through provision of fire management zone along Foothill <br /> Road and above residences. <br /> <br />OVERRIDING CONSIDERATIONS <br /> <br />All significant effects have been eliminated or substantially <br />lessened where feasible through project revisions and <br />adoption of all feasible mitigation measures, as described <br />above, and all remaining significant environmental effects <br />are acceptable because the economic, social, environmental, <br />and other benefits of the project enumerated above outweigh <br />these unavoidable adverse environmental effects. <br /> <br />yeeceqa <br /> <br />2/21/89 -11- <br /> <br /> <br />
