CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1851 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.28.030 OF THE <br />PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING THE <br />MEMBERSHIP OF THE HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Chapter 2.28 (Human Services Commission), Section 2.28.030, Membership <br />Appointments) is mended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "A. The commission shall have seven (7) regular commissioners, one <br />alternate commissioner and two (2) liaison commissioners, all of whom shall be <br />residents of the city. <br /> <br /> B. The seven (7) regular commissioners and the one alternate <br />commissioner shall be selected from the community at large. The regular <br />commissioners and alternate commissioner shall be appointed by the mayor, <br />subject to ratification by the City Council as provided in the adopted City Council <br />resolution establishing procedures for appointments to boards and commissions. <br /> <br />(Subsections C - F, no change)" <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) days after <br />its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general circulation published <br />in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be posted for fifteen <br />(15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final passage <br />and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on March 19, <br />2002. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on March 19, 2002 <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
