CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-034 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR <br />GRANT FUNDS FOR THE ROBERTI-Z'BERG-HARRIS <br />URBAN OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION PROGRAM <br />UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, CLEAN <br />WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND <br />ACT OF 2000 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the people of the State of California have enacted the Safe Neighborhood Parks, <br />Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000, which provides <br />funds for the Roberti-Z'Berg-Harhs Open Space and Recreation Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Legislature of the State of California has enacted the Roberti-Z'Berg-Hanis <br />Open Space and Recreation Program, which provides funds to certain political <br />subdivisions of the State of California for acquiring lands and for developing <br />facilities to meet urban recreational needs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the <br />responsibility for the administration of the grant program, setting up necessary <br />procedures; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation <br />require the Applicant's Governing Body to certify by resolution the approval of the <br />Applicant to apply for the Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris allocation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant will enter into a Contract with the State of California. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves the filing of an application for local assistance funds from the <br />Roberti-Z'Berg-Harris Urban Open Space and Recreation Program under the Safe <br />Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of <br />2000. <br /> <br /> <br />
