CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1362 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PT~ASANTON MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE REGARDING REALESTATE SIGNS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 13.04,020 (Exceptions) of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code is amended as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. The existing paragraph is designated as paragraph <br /> flAIl · <br /> <br /> 2. A new paragraph "B" is added to read as follows: <br /> <br /> B. This chapter shall not apply to real estate <br /> company open house directional signs when such signs are <br /> placed in accordance with provisions in Chapter <br /> 18.96.030(I). <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 18.96,030 (Exempt Signs) of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code is amended by adding a new subsection "I" <br /> to read as follows: <br /> <br /> I. A real estate sign designating an open house <br /> for an individual home for sale or lease, <br /> other than first-time sales of homes within <br /> new subdivisions; provided, however, that the <br /> signs: <br /> <br /> 1. Shall be free standing "A" frame or <br /> sandwich board type; <br /> 2. Shall not exceed an overall height of 36" <br /> from the ground and the face of the sign <br /> shall not exceed a horizontal dimension <br /> of 24" and a vertical dimension of 18"; <br /> 3. Shall have no "riders." There shall be <br /> no additions, tags, signs, streamers, <br /> balloons, or other appurtenances added to <br /> the standard real estate open house sign, <br /> provided, however, that arrows may be <br /> incorporated into the design of the face <br /> of the sign but may not be added <br /> appurtenant to the sign; <br /> 4. May be displayed Monday through Sunday, <br /> 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; <br /> 5. Shall not exceed one on-site open house <br /> sign and three off-site open house signs <br /> with an aggregate total of four signs per <br /> open house, provided, however, that the <br /> standard real estate for sale sign posted <br /> <br /> <br />
