CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1431 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTON AMENDING <br /> THE PT~ASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO <br /> A NEW CHAPTER 9.28 TO TITLE 9 (~RALTH AND <br /> SAFETY) CONCERNING PROPERTY MAINTENANCE. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended <br /> by adding thereto a new chapter to Title 9 (Health <br /> and Safety), said new chapter to be numbered and to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Chapter 9.28 <br /> <br /> PROPERTY MAINTENANCE <br /> <br /> Section 9.28,010. Definitions. <br /> <br /> A. BUILDING. "Building" shall mean any structure <br /> used or intended for supporting or sheltering <br /> any use or occupancy and shall include any <br /> house, garage, duplex, apartment, condominium, <br /> stock cooperative, or other residential <br /> structure, and shall include all retail, <br /> commercial and industrial structures. <br /> <br /> B. CITY MANAGER. "City Manager" shall mean the <br /> City Manager or the City Manager's designees. <br /> <br /> C. OWNER. "Owner" shall mean any person owning <br /> property, as shown on the last equalized <br /> assessment roll for City taxes, or the lessee, <br /> tenant, or other person having control or <br /> possession of the property. <br /> <br /> D. PERSON. "Person" shall mean any individual, <br /> partnership, corporation, association or other <br /> organization, however formed. <br /> <br /> E. PROPERTY. "Property" shall mean all property <br /> within the City and shall include any building <br /> located on such property. <br /> <br /> F. UNREASONABLE STATE OF PARTIAL CONSTRUCTION. <br /> "Unreasonable state of partial construction" <br /> shall mean any unfinished building or <br /> structure which has been in the course of <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
