Resolution No. PC-2001-55 Page 2 The proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of this chapter of the Municipal Code. As proposed, the zoning of the site would allow the permitted and conditionally permitted uses of the Public and Institutional (P) district, and the P district conditionally permits parks. The proposed use complies with all relevant sections of the zoning ordinance. Granting a conditional use permit to the applicants for a park is consistent with the City's ability to regulate zoning as listed in the Municipal Code Chapter 18.124 "Conditional Uses." WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed site improvements and uses for the private park keeps the site compatible with the surrounding uses. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Approves Case PCUP-39, the application of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for a conditional use permit to change the land use of approximately 1.97 acres of vacant land behind an existing church from six single-family residential lots to a private park for church-related events located at 3574 Vineyard Avenue, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B.2" attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that time.
