PLANNiNG COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2001-53 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE <br />DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS <br />CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-87-22-1M/ <br />PCUP-39 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of November 28, 2001, the Planning Commission received a proposed <br />negative declaration for the application of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day <br />Saints for a major modification to an approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) <br />and a conditional use permit to change the land use of approximately 1.97 acres of <br />vacant land behind an existing church from six single-family residential lots to a <br />private park for church-related events located at 3574 Vineyard Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission received and reviewed the Initial Study dated October 3, <br /> 2001, and received the recommendations of the staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the <br /> opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposed project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the <br />applicable state and local guidelines goveming the preparation of Negative <br />Declarations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed project would not have any <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further finds that the proposed project will have no <br /> potential for adverse impacts on the site's wildlife. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for Case <br />PUD-87-22-1M, the application of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints <br />for a major modification to an approved Planned Unit Development (PUD) and a <br />conditional use permit to change the land use of approximately 1.97 acres of <br />vacant land behind an existing church from six single-family residential lots to a <br />private park for church-related events located at 3574 Vineyard Avenue. <br /> <br /> <br />
