PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2001-48 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GRADING AND TREE REMOVAL <br />PLAN FOR PUD-16, APPLIED BIOSYSTEMS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Applied Biosystems has applied for final development plan approval for a <br />960,000-square-foot office and research campus to be located at 6001 <br />Sunol Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I (Planned Unit Development - Industrial) <br /> District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its duly-noticed public hearing of October 24, 2001, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />a Negative Declaration was adopted at the time the Master Development <br />Plan and Design Guidelines were adopted, and based on the Initial Study <br />prepared for the final development plan, no further action concerning <br />CEQA is necessary; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined not to vote on the modification and <br /> to ask the applicant to look at alternatives for reducing the roof height; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed grading and tree <br /> removal plan is appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNiNG COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves only the grading and tree removal plan for Case PUD-16, the <br />application of Applied Biosystcms for final development plan approval for <br />a 960,000-square-foot office and research campus to be located at 6001 <br />Sunol Boulevard as proposed, and continues for further discussion the <br />remaining final development plan application elements. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and <br />adoption unless appealed prior to that time. <br /> <br /> <br />
