PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2001-41 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDiNG THE RESCISSION OF THE APPROVAL <br />OF THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR CASE PUD-85-05 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Case PUD-S5-5, a development plan approval for a four-story <br />approximately 66,000-square-foot office building on an approximately <br />2.8-acre site located on the south side of Johnson Drive, easterly of the <br />Hilton Hotel, was approved by the City Council on May 21, 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />since the approval, no applications nor plans for building/on-site permits <br />have been filed with the City, and consequently, no building permits have <br />been issued and the office pad remains vacant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />sixteen years have lapsed since approval of the office building, and a <br />number of changes have occurred on the site and in the surrounding area; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />actions of this nature pertaining to minor alterations in land use regulation <br />are categorically exempt from the requirements of the Califomia <br />Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), therefore, no environmental <br />document accompanies this proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its duly notice public hearing of July 25, 2001, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Planning Commission determined that because of the changes that <br />have occurred at the site and to the transportation system surrounding and <br />serving the site, and to the way the City reviews and approves new office <br />projects, the approved project is no longer appropriate. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends the rescission of the approval of Case PUD-85-05, a <br />development plan approval for a four-story approximately 66,000-square- <br />foot office building on an approximately 2.8-acre site located on the south <br />side of Johnson Drive. <br /> <br /> <br />
