CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1425 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> RELATIVE TO DESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR OF BUILDING <br /> INSPECTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the head of the Building Inspection Division is now <br /> officially titled "Director of Building Inspection;" <br /> whereas before, this position was called the "Building <br /> Inspector" or "Chief Building Inspector;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Municipal Code has been modified to use the new <br /> title "Director of Building Inspection," wherever the <br /> former titles were used. In order to conform the Zoning <br /> Ordinance to these changes, similar changes should be <br /> made; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance Code changes of this nature are exempt from <br /> the requirements of CEQA; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendations for approval of the proposed Municipal <br /> Code amendment. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves Case RZ-89-5, the application of the City of <br /> Pleasanton to amend the following sections of the <br /> Municipal Code in their entirety: <br /> <br /> 18.12.020 Duties of city officials. <br /> <br /> The director of building inspection and zoning <br /> administrator shall be the official responsible for the <br /> enforcement of this title. The director of building <br /> inspection and zoning administrator, or their deputies, <br /> shall have the right to enter on any site or to enter <br /> any structure for the purpose of investigation and <br /> inspection related to any provision of this title; <br /> provided, that the right of entry shall be exercised <br /> only at reasonable hours and that in no case shall any <br /> structure be entered in the absence of the owner or <br /> tenant without the written order of a court competent <br /> jurisdiction. The director of building inspection or <br /> zoning administrator may serve notice requiring the <br /> removal of any structure or use in violation of the <br /> regulations on the owner or his authorized agent, on a <br /> tenant, or on an architect, builder, contractor, or <br /> other person who commits or participates in any <br /> <br /> <br />
