ASANTON <br /> ACCEPTING THE PENAL CODE REQUIREMENTS RELATING TO <br /> THE SEI.RCTION AND TRAINING STANDARDS OF PUBLIC <br /> SAFETY DISPATCHERS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> , Section 1: The City of Pleasanton declares that it desires <br /> to qualify to receive aid from the State of <br /> California under the provisions of Section 13522, <br /> Chapter 1, of Title 4, Part 4, of the California <br /> Penal Cade. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Pursuant to Section 13510(C), Chapter 1, the <br /> Pleasanton Police Department will adhere to <br /> standards for recruitment and training established <br /> by the California Commission on Peace Officer <br /> Standards and Training (POST). <br /> <br /> Section 3: Pursuant to Section 13512, Chapter 1, the POST <br /> Commission and its representatives may make <br />\ inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission <br /> to ascertain that the Pleasanton Police <br /> Department's public safety dispatcher personnel <br /> adhere to standards for selection and training <br /> established by the Commission on Peace Officer <br /> Standards and Training. <br /> <br /> Section 4: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley <br /> Times," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Section 5: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) <br /> days after the date of its final passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on May 2, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
