CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1849 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS <br />FOR A PUD MAJOR MODIFICATION (REZONING AND <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL), AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE PUD-87-22-1M <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has applied for a major <br />modification to an approved Planned Unit Development for: (1) rezoning of a <br />4.8-acre parcel located at 3574 Vineyard Avenue from PUD-MDR/P (Planned <br />Unit Development - Medium Density Residential/Public and Institutional) District <br />to PUD-P Planned Unit Development - Public and Institutional), and (2) <br />development plan approval for a private park on the southern 1.97 acres for <br />church-related events; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - MDR/P (Medium <br /> Density Residential/Public and Institutional) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative declaration was adopted by <br /> the City Council on January 15, 2002; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendations for approval of the <br /> major modification; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on January 15, 2002; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council determined that the proposed PUD-P zoning would be the most <br />appropriate zoning given the existing church use and the zoning of the surrounding <br />property. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Approves Case PUD-87-22-1 M, the application of the Church of Jesus Christ of <br />Latter-Day Saints for a major modification to an approved Planned Unit <br />Development (PUD) to rezone a 4.8-acre parcel located at 3574 Vineyard Avenue <br />from PUD-MDR/P (Planned Unit Development - Medium Density Residential/ <br />Public and Institutional) District to PUD-P (Planned Unit Development - Public <br />and Institutional). <br /> <br /> <br />
