CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-021 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ENDORSING APPLICATION FOR AN <br />URBAN STREAMS RESTORATION GRANT, <br />DETERMINING APPROPRIATE ENVIRONMENTAL <br />IMPACT DOCUMENT, CONDITIONALLY ACCEPTING <br />GRANT IF OFFERED, AND DESIGNATING CONTRACT <br />MANAGER AND FISCAL AGENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the California Department of Water Resources, Division of Local Assistance, <br />Urban Streams Restoration Program has announced the availability of funds for <br />grants; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said grants are intended to help solve flooding and erosion problems in a way that <br /> provides environmental enhancement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Friends of the Arroyo has proposed to co-sponsor a grant application with the <br /> City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City has concluded the project proposed for funding with the grant funds <br />would be environmentally beneficial and the City will comply with all <br />requirements of CEQA prior to implementation of the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the prospects of receiving a grant are reasonably likely. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton City Council approves the joint application with the <br />Friends of the Arroyo for an Urban Streams Restoration Program grant. <br /> <br />If offered such a grant, the City Manager is authorized to accept and sign any <br />contract for administration of the grant funds, the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development is authorized to develop a work plan for the project, and <br />the Director of Planning and Community Development is authorized to submit <br />invoices to the Department of Water Resources for activities carried out under the <br />work plan for the grant contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
