CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-003 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT <br />WORKERS' COMPENSATION CLAIMS <br /> <br />OF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />there are now pending before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board cases <br />concerning firefighter John Senter, Assistant Fire Marshall Scott Deaver, <br />Community Service Officer Cathleen Cordova, and Building Inspector Robert <br />Hambrecht; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City's workers' compensation claims administrator has requested authority <br />from the City to settle these claims in the amounts discussed in various <br />memoranda from the administrator to the Human Resoumes Manager; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such requests are reasonable and justified under the circumstances. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Attorney is authorized to settle the above-mentioned cases in the amounts <br />not to exceed that requested by the Claims Administrator. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND <br />REGULARLY ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT <br />A MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 15, 2002 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> <br />
